Course requirements

  • Learners must usually be 16 years old or above (some providers may prefer 18+ depending on the setting).
  • A Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is recommended, but not always mandatory.
  • You must have a good command of English (reading, writing, and speaking) to complete written assignments and understand care terminology.
  • You should ideally have: GCSEs at grade C/4 or above in English and Maths Or functional skills Level 2 in English and Maths
